Meat-Free Cuisine by Fireside Catering

At Fireside Catering we offer menus that are full of sumptuous fare designed to please a variety of taste buds. When Laura and Vikram approached us about booking their wedding at the beautiful Bradley Estate, they wanted their entire menu to reflect their food values, which meant no meat on the menu!

Our culinary team, led by Executive Chef Karen Osterberg and Executive Sous Chef Julie Larocque, rose to the challenge creating a meat-free menu including an abundance vegetables, grains, pasta and cheeses that left all the guests satiated and excited to celebrate Laura & Vikram’s special day.

Fireside Catering sources ingredients locally whenever possible. During the New England growing season, we are able to provide a variety of fruits and vegetables from our own Gibbet Hill Farm in Groton, Massachusetts. Passed hors d’oeuvres included Goat Cheese Tartlet, Grilled White Pizzetta, and Mixed Mushroom Tartlet.

In a nod to Vikram’s ethnicity, additional passed hors d’oeuvres included Potato Vegetable Samosas and Chickpea Vindaloo.

Guests sat down to a Baby Spinach and Strawberry Salad.

The entree choices were Creamy Penne Pasta, Roasted Vegetable Napoleon, or Pumpkin Mascarpone Ravioli.

Dinner was complete with sweet tastes of wedding cake, carrot cake bites, and an assortment of homemade pie.

Autumn Wedding at The Barn at The Crane Estate

Many Beautiful Venue Options at The Crane Estate

The Crane Estate boasts three distinctive and equally stunning venue options to host your wedding or special event. Situated on the coast in Ipswich, Massachusetts, there is an option for many styles of weddings and events.

Steep Hill Beach

Named for the steep hill abutting the beach, this option has two beautiful lawns overlooking the ocean. There is no electricity at the beach, so this venue option is perfect for a more casual daytime experience where barbecues and clam bakes are the name of the game! Accommodating up to 500 guests, this is a great option for a corporate outing, or an informal daytime wedding.

The Barn at The Crane Estate

If you are looking for something rustic, look no further and The Barn at The Crane Estate. This renovated Tuscan style barn and surrounding property screams romance with its wisteria draped lattice, stone towers, and wrought iron gates overlooking winding salt marsh rivers and flanked by woodlands.

The Great House

Perched atop Castle Hill, the Great House is an unforgettable destination. Ceremonies may be on the Grand Allée with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. For the cocktail hour, you have exclusive use of the Allée Terrace in addition to the first floor of The Great House where guests can mingle throughout the historic mansion. Finally, for dinner, a beautiful high-peaked tent is positioned just off the ballroom East Terrace where guests can experience the landscape and beauty of Castle Hill throughout the evening.
